This year four 4-H youth from Green County (two sets of siblings- Rachel and Brian McCullough and Clayton and Cole Mahlkuch) prevailed as the Champion National 4-H Dairy Judging Team at the World Dairy Expo!  The youth were coached by Mike Marean of Albany.

Brian McCullough lead the team as second high individual in the contest. He was also fourth in oral reasons and fourth in the placings-only contest. Rachel McCullough finished the day in 12th place, with second-place honors in the placings-only contest. Teammate Cole Mahlkuch finished in 22nd and earned All-American honors along with the McCullough siblings. The four Green County youth, along with their coach earned the privilege to travel to Scotland to compete in the International 4-H Dairy Judging contest in June of 2019.

A total of 91 individuals from 24 teams judged 10 classes and gave five sets of reasons during the competition. Congratulations to all 4-H members who participated in the 2018 contest!
