First Time Camp Coordinator Orientation

4-H Environmental Education Center

10:00 am – 3:00 pm

A training workshop designed for new 4-H Agents, Teachers, Volunteer Camp Directors, or parents who are coordinating or directing a program at Camp Upham Woods for the first time

 

 

Topics will include:

Tour of Facilities; Camp Guidelines and Rules; Group Responsibilities/Upham Staff Responsibilities; Safety Procedures relating to     Weather, Emergencies, Waterfront, and more; Dining Hall procedures and time lines; Time lines for scheduling;

Available programs; Food Service Explanation; Examples of Camp Themes, activities, campfires, etc.; Scheduling examples; Using volunteers and or parents to support the camp experience; Budget Development; and Outpost Camping.

Cost: $6.00 for lunch
