  Training will be offered for all judges with a focus on Mechanical Sciences, Natural Sciences, Plant Sciences and Photography Project Areas.  This training will take place on January 13, 2010 as part of the Wisconsin Association of Fairs Annual Convention.  Not only will you have the opportunity to sharpen your judging skills, but you could also learn more about the workings of the Wisconsin Association of Fairs.  The training will begin at 9 am with registration and adjourn at 4:00 pm.  Watch for details and registration information on this website: http://www.uwex.edu/ces/4h/events/CountyFairJudgesTraining.cfm You can register for the one day, or come to the Fair Convention for several days.  See registration for details.  Sign up early as there is limited space.

  If you have not already done so, please submit your projections sheet by December 1, 2009. They may be faxed to 608-265-6407. A "zero" response would be appreciated if applicable. Thanks to those who have already submitted their projections.

• 2010YC - Call for Seminar Proposals

  Dear Colleagues:   It is always the right time to think about sharing your expertise with others, interacting with (future) colleagues, and meeting old friends.  WI 4-H & Youth Conference (YC) provides the opportunity to do all three.    The 2010 YC Planning Committee is seeking proposals for seminars to be presented June 22 or 23, 2010 in Madison.  The audience will consist of 7th-10th graders interested in a variety of topics.  Please consider sharing your expertise with these eager young minds.   A seminar proposal form is available on-line at http://www.uwex.edu/ces/4h/events/youthconf/index.cfm.   Please note the due date of December 1, 2009.  The proposals should be returned to either the supporting project State Specialist (ie. Melanie Miller/animal science; Tim Talen/communication arts, etc.) or Kay Hobler at kay.hobler@ces.uwex.edu.     Additionally, referrals have been a great resource and we would appreciate your continued support in reaching out to qualified people who might also be interested in submitting a proposal.    Final selections will be made by January 10, 2010 and all those submitting a proposal will be notified of the final selections.   Questions?
