Connie Flanagan, new UW-Madison Professor in the School of Human Ecology Dept of Interdisciplinary Studies
Program Practices that Build Social Responsibility and Citizenship
Professor Flanagan will share her research on how youth develop commitments to civic/social responsibility and the critical role of organizations like 4-H in that process. She will also present information about a program being piloted in Pennsylvania 4-H (and possibly in Wisconsin) which focuses on developing positive peer support for actions of care and responsibility - for peers and for the common good.
