ASHWAUBENON -- Many family members of 432nd troops deployed to Iraq met at the reserve center in Ashuwaubenon to show each other some support. They focused a lot on how to help the children whose moms and dads are overseas. FOX 11'S Robert Hornacek was there.

29, 2007, UWP and Grant County 4-H accept award for involvement
with Operation: Military Kids (3 pages, 20 KB)
During the Wisconsin National GuardÂ’s Family Weekend, March
9 to 11, 2007, in Green Bay, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville
and Grant County 4-H accepted the Community Commitment Award
from the Wisconsin National Guard for their joint efforts in
supporting Operation: Military Kids (OMK) this year and in the
past.
Counselors for the event included Mike Mani, a UWP student from Mt.
Horeb; Jessica Knox, a UWP student from Green Bay; Samantha Jackson,
a Fennimore High School student; her mother, Connie Jackson, of Fennimore;
along with Sophie Lee, a South Korean foreign exchange student; Ashley
and Nicole Cray, Potosi High School students; Patricia Block, of
Platteville; Stephen Dutelle, a UWP graduate student from Platteville;
and Alyssa Adrian and Taylor Bausch, Cassville High School students.
