Agility Guidelines - revised Feb 2009
Guidelines for Dog Agility Programs -
These Guidelines will be used at the State 4-H Dog Agility Event. These are suggested guidelines for counties to use in their own programs. However, as in other projects, counties have the right to design their own programs. These guidelines will be used at the State Traiings. Updates were made after the 2008 workshops according to suggestions made by the participants of the January Agility Workshop - Thanks to the participants for your suggestions.
Measuring your Dog for Agility (video clip) - This video clip demonstrates how to correctly measure your dog for agility obstacles. Thanks to the LaCrosse Family Dog Center for making the clip. We truly appreciate your willingness to help us with our Agility Education. The equipment used in the video may be purchased at many pet equipment stores. As is the practice of the 4-H program, this video is not an endorsement of any one retailer for this equipment.
Agility Scribe Sheets - these can be used at your county events.

Hosted by Jefferson County -
March 20, 2010- open to the entire state to join us The workshop will be held at the Western Waukesha County Dog Training Club in Ixonia. Workshop presenters are Becky Jo Hershey and her daughter Kylie Seivert (Kylie was one of our state judges). Becky has trained several of her dogs to an OTCH title and trains other people and their dogs and Kylie has been to Westminster Kennel Club in her Jr showmanship days - which is a show that you have to qualify nationally for and receive an invitation to. The seminar will focus on advanced training techniques (starting with the drop on recall thru Utility work) and then we will turn to Jr showmanship. Watch for more details.
The Jefferson County Dog Project group did an outstanding job of hosting the State Show. Special thanks to Michele and Kate who chaired the show. The hospitality was terrific, the show well organized and all went well - THANKS!!
