Focus On… Citizenship — Inauguration

In January, a of Wisconsin 4-H members took part in the experience of a lifetime: an education experience in Washington D.C. that coincided with the 2017 U.S. Presidential Inauguration. The educational experience focused on citizenship and the Executive Branch of the U.S. Government. The young people visited national sites, held mock elections and participated in community service.

Wisconsin 4-H’ers represent the state at National 4-H Conference

In April, 10 Wisconsin 4-H youth traveled to Washington, D.C. to be part of National 4-H Conference. The Wisconsin delegates participated in in-depth, issue-based round tables with other delegates from around the country. They presented their briefings to federal officials around Washington, D.C. and visited Wisconsin’s members of the United States Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives.
